I have a question for you lot:
Why is it when someone’s life is going really well we find them boring? Don’t lie to yourself, you know this is true. Come on. Seriously. Stop lying. We all have that friend who is doing really well at:
- work/education/or even worse – both
- their relationship – it’s perfect. Many rude words are sent their way.
- their body – it’s perfect and of course they don’t do any exercise, it’s just natural. B*tch.
- never getting too drunk and doing something embarrassing (unfortunately I am Queen of this. I’m desperately trying to retire though)
- their fashion sense
Why do we find this SO boring? Yet, we all would kill an elephant to have his/her life. However, we also all have that friend who:
- always has a stain on their clothes, even if they haven’t eaten anything yet today
- can only ramble/mumble/accidentally spit at a member of the opposite sex
- falls down even when they’re standing still
- breaks objects upon just looking at them
- hurts themselves on soft objects, like cushions
No-one aspires to be this person, yet we all find them absolutely hilarious – even if it’s in a completely cringey way. I don’t understand this logic, but if we all become that perfect/boring person then we’ll be in a world without stuff like…: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGOTf3Xl6Qs&list=FLC0C_0DwzBu6gD3jAFxh8WQ&index=9
My conclusion? Life is beautiful, weirdness is perfection. More people should aspire to be oddballs; even if it is just for my entertainment.
Over&out.
